New Delhi: Berger Paints on Thursday reported a 55.35 per cent jump in consolidated net profit at Rs 138.78 crore for the quarter ended September, aided by exceptional gains of Rs 44.20 crore.
The company had reported a net profit of Rs 89.33 crore for the July-September period of last fiscal year.
Income from operations during the quarter under review was up 7.77 per cent at Rs 1,271.39 crore, from Rs 1,179.65 crore in the corresponding period a year ago, Berger Paints said in a filing to the BSE.
During the quarter, the company reported exceptional gains of Rs 44.20 crore on account of sale of business to Berger Nippon Coatings Pvt.
Shares in Berger Paints ended up 0.08 per cent higher at Rs 260.35 apiece on the BSE, whose benchmark Sensex index finished down 0.35 per cent.
