Nintendo Co. filed a lawsuit in the US Court of International Trade on Friday, seeking a refund for duties it paid to the US government as a result of President Donald Trump's Tariffs.

Nintendo said the tariffs paid were “unlawfully collected” and asked that there is a “prompt refund” to the company, according to the filing dated March 6.

Thousands of US companies are already seeking refunds for about $170 billion paid under the earlier tariffs that were overturned, which Trump issued under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act, or IEEPA. On Feb. 20, the Supreme Court ruled 6-3 that the president issued those tariffs illegally.
