India's fresh cases stayed below 10,000 for the second day in a row, as the country's Omicron-fuelled third wave continues to further recede.
The world's second-most populous country reported 6,915 fresh cases in the last 24 hours, according to the health ministry's update at 8 a.m. on March 1. Except the last two days, cases were below 10,000 only at Dec. 29 last year.
Active cases amount to 0.22% of the total case count, while recovery rate stands at 98.59%.
