Jet Airways has again triggered a fare war in the Indian skies. Now, budget carrier IndiGo has launched a low-fare offer to take on its rivals. Under this scheme, IndiGo is offering all-inclusive fares as low Rs 1,499 on advance bookings. For this offer, bookings should be made 90 days before the travel date.
The offer is valid for traveling from Delhi to cities like Mumbai, Bengaluru, Kolkata, Pune and Goa. The fare for travelling to Jaipur from Delhi is Rs 1,499, while to Mumbai is Rs 2,953.
Earlier in the week, Jet Airways had launched a low-fare offer to woo air travellers. Under the scheme, Jet Airways is offering fares as low as Rs. 1,933 for travel within India in economy class.
To avail this Jet Airways offer, tickets must be purchased 90 days prior to departure and travel must commence on or after July 1, 2015, said the carrier's website.
This year many domestic carriers have announced a series of discounted ticket schemes to attract customers in the January-March and July-September quarters, which are traditionally considered a low travel demand period.
