Tehran Times on Friday issued a stark warning to the United States over any possible “boots on the ground” operation in Iran, saying a ground war would bring American forces into a deadly trap and deepen an already escalating regional conflict.
The warning came in a commentary published by the Iranian daily and in a social media post promoting the special issue, which framed the message as a direct challenge to Washington.

The page contains dominant headline in white text reading “Welcome to Hell.” Just beneath it, a subheadline states: “US troops who step foot on Iranian soil will leave only in a coffin,” making the message explicitly directed at American forces.

The newspaper's commentary argued that any U.S. deployment on Iranian soil would be met with fierce resistance and heavy losses. It said American troops and equipment would be “destroyed” in the event of a conflict and warned that all U.S. interests in the region would come within firing range of Iranian forces. The piece also said a ground war would be disastrous for Washington politically, claiming that public opinion in the United States is strongly opposed to sending troops into Iran.

The warning came after some Trump allies including his former Ukraine envoy Keith Kellogg and Republican Senator Lindsey Graham have touted troop deployments on Iranian soil as a necessary way of forcing Tehran to capitulate.
While, Representative Mike Rogers, an Alabama Republican who chairs the US House Armed Services Committee, said on Wednesday a closed-door briefing on Iran didn't answer questions from lawmakers about the troops being deployed.
