The Civil Defence teams in Dubai have confirmed that the fire in a fuel tank in the vicinity of Dubai International Airport has been extinguished, the Dubai Media Office has posted on its X handle.

"Cooling operations are now underway," the post reads.

A major fire had erupted this morning at the Dubai International Airport, following Iran's drone attacks in the area. No casualties or injuries to anybody were reported in the incident. Chances of damage to a nearby fuel tank were "contained" as the civil defence teams promptly put out the fire.

Flight operations to and from the airport were halted temporarily amid the fire. The operations have been gradually resumed. UAE authorities and other Gulf countries have condemned the attack and the relentless aggression by Iran against Gulf countries.

Iran has been pounding civilian infrastructure in Gulf countries from day one of this war, which started on February 28, when the US and Israel launched airstrikes on Tehran. Iran's supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, was killed in the strikes, following which Iran started to target US bases and other infrastructure in Gulf countries, including the UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, and more.

Iran has attacked airports, refineries, residential areas, desalination plants, and other vital infrastructure in these countries, while maintaining that it was only targeting US bases in these countries. The Gulf countries have not retaliated thus far, but have repeatedly condemned the Iranian actions.

Iran's Security Chief Ali Larjani called on Muslim nations to unite and keep in consideration that, "You know full well that America has no loyalty, and that Israel is, in fact, your enemy."

Earlier in the day, on Monday, the Foreign Minister of Iran, Abbas Araghchi, had alleged that some neighbouring states (which host IS forces) are actively encouraging the slaughter of Iranian civilians. "Stances should be promptly clarified," Araghchi has said.

His comments came after The New York Times reported that Trump has been in regular contact with Saudi Crown Prince, Mohammad Bin Salman, who is backing the war. A Saudi source has denied the report, as per Al Arabiya.
