Apple TV+ Shakes Hands With Amazon Prime Video For Tapping Severance, Ted Lasso Fans In India
The development will add to Prime’s existing strong lineup of more than 75,000 hours of content across more than 25 add-on subscription partners.

Amazon-owned Prime Video has added Apple TV+ to its subscription lineup in India. The feature will allow users to directly access Apple TV+ via an add-on subscription to Prime Video.
“Available at Rs 99 per month, Prime members who subscribe to Apple TV+ via Prime Video can stream exclusive shows and movies with new releases weekly,” Amazon said in an official press release on Wednesday.
With the move, Prime members will be able to watch popular Apple shows like Ted Lasso and Severance on the platform. Besides India, Apple TV+ as an add-on subscription will also be available for Prime users in US, Canada and Latin America among other regions.

The feature has been activated in India. Prime users can log into their browser or mobile application account to subscribe to Apple TV+.
“Subscribe to Apple TV+ for Rs 99 per month,” a banner displayed on Prime Video's homepage in India. Users will be able to make the add on purchase using any UPI, credit or debit card.
The service offers a huge collection of Apple TV+ content on Prime, including its most streamed show, Severance. Popular comedy series Ted Lasso, renowned feature films such as Killers Of The Flower Moon, are also available to watch through the Prime subscription.
On the induction, Kelly Day, Vice President of International, Prime Video, said: “We're delighted to continue to roll-out Apple TV+ on Prime Video with the launch in India today bringing Prime Video customers an even greater selection of TV shows and films, all in one app experience.”
Users will be able to subscribe to the Apple Originals content on Prime, which will be integrated with other features of the platform for a smooth experience.
These include convenient and streamlined content discovery, unified watchlists, and centralised billing, Amazon said.
Users will not be required to download any extra app other than Prime Video. The subscription can be cancelled when needed.
