This may have been spurred by India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi's speech to the Parliament on Monday, where he spoke about the current global energy crisis which has led to an LPG (liquified petroleum gas) supply crunch in India and stressed the need for unity. He spoke about how India had faced similar challenges during the Covid-19 lockdown.
He drew parallels between the Iran-Israel-US war and the Covid crisis with regards to how the global supply chain was disrupted in both cases, albeit due to different reasons. "In the past too, our government did not allow the burden of global crises to fall on the farmers," Modi said.
This may have led to the increase in people searching up the term to recollect how India had weathered the pandemic brought about by the contagious SARS-CoV-2 virus.

March 24, 2026, also marks the six year anniversary of Modi's announcement of lockdown, which was followed across the nation in order to mitigate the spread of the virus.
Modi had said that India is accelerating all the resilience-building measures that have been undertaken over the past years in order to mitigate the "serious consequences" that would arise from the prolonged global disruptions due to the Middle East crisis as well as the blocking of the Strait of Hormuz that resulted from it.
The government has also formed seven high level panels to manage the impact from these global supply chain disruptions. These panels will focus on minimising economic disruption and strengthening domestic resilience.
