The paper, named 'War Lockdown Notice', looked serious enough to pass for a government alert at first glance, urged people to stay indoors and spread rapidly across social media and messaging groups.

What made the notice so convincing was its presentation. It carried a formal layout and an Ashok Chakra-style emblem, giving it the appearance of an urgent public advisory.
The reveal came at the very end. Instead of a genuine warning issued by an authority, the document closed with an April Fool's message, making clear that the entire notice was intended as a joke.
As it moved through chats and timelines, many users shared it in the spirit of an April Fool's prank, aiming to catch friends and family off guard rather than to misinform. Even so, for those encountering it without context, the message briefly created confusion.
By the time that detail was noticed, however, the post had already done its rounds- sometimes read fully and laughed off, sometimes only skimmed before being passed along.
