Nikhal Kamath, co-founder of online brokerage platform Zerodha, announced that he would be hosting the former UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak along with his wife Akshata Murty on his WTF Podcast.
He shared a trailer that showcased a small snippet of their conversation. Kamath called it the podcast's "first couple episode" and did not give a definite release date, saying that it would be "coming soon".
The description for the trailer hinted that Sunak and Murty would be discussing their marriage, their careers, what they learned from their failures and successes as well as their relationship with their public perception.
Sunak spoke about the importance of his marriage when it comes to his day-to-day functioning, how he learned from the historic defeat of his Conservative Party in the UK and related it to what he took away from the Bhagavad Gita scripture, along with his plans moving forward.
"Rishi Sunak says he could not function without his marriage, that losing the most public job in the world taught him that the Gita was right about focusing on dharma and not outcomes, and that the blank canvas at 45 is more exciting than the track that got him there," the description said.
Akshata Murty spoke about how she made sure that she would not live in her husband, the former UK PM's shadow as well as doing the same when it came to her father Naryana Murthy who founded the Indian IT tech giant Infosys.
"Akshata Murty says she's not stuck on being her father's daughter or her husband's wife, she is clear on who she is than any title ever made her and the answer to most things lives in balance, somewhere between stoicism and epicureanism," the description stated.
Kamath and Akshata Murty also engaged in banter in the promo, speaking to each other in Kannada, a language that Rishi Sunak does not speak.
Kamath's WTF Podcast is known for hosting prominent public figures, such as Prime Minister Narendra Modi and billionaire Elon Musk.
