Tata Motors has launched the Punch EV Facelift in the Indian market today, marking the first significant update to the popular electric micro‑SUV since its debut in 2024. The updated version comes with improved features, including some major design and tech upgrades.
The automaker has also added better technology, improved style and looks, and provides a better driving range on a single charge. The compact size looks like an SUV, which makes it stylish and practical.
In India, it will compete directly with the Citroen eC3.
Tata Punch EV Facelift updated features
Interior and Exterior Looks
The interior gets a dual-tone dashboard and the seats now have refreshed leatherette upholstery. Central AC vents have a new design, and the climate control panel is touch-enabled. Power window switches now use toggle-style switches.
For the facelift version, Tata Motors has redesigned the front bumper to make its exterior look cleaner and sharper. The air intake below the bumper now comes in a larger size.
The faux silver skid plate at the bottom of the front bumper has a textured finish. The electric charging port is under the bonnet line and features the "Tata" logo.
The headlight design is mostly the same as before, with black surrounds, but the central LED strip connecting the DRLs has been removed.

Sides
From the sides, the facelifted Punch EV looks very similar to the old version. Key details include roof rails, thick body cladding, blacked-out ORVMs with turn indicators, C-pillar-mounted rear door handles, large wheel arches and 16-inch aerodynamically designed alloy wheels.
The rear is tall, has connected LED taillights, and a rugged skid plate.
Other features
It comes with a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a 10-inch digital driver's display. It also has an auto climate control option, which helps the cabin cool by adapting to the inside and outside temperatures.
The front seats now come with a cooling function. There is an availability of wireless phone chargers. The facelift version of the SUV comes equipped with a single-pane sunroof.
Tata Punch EV Facelift battery
The Tata Punch EV facelift now comes with new battery options. One major update is a bigger 40 kWh battery pack, which used to be available only in the Tata Nexon EV. Now, the Punch EV can drive longer on a single charge, improving its range and making it more competitive in India's EV market.

Both use a single electric motor, but the 30 kWh version produces 88 PS of power, while the 40 kWh version makes 129 PS. Torque remains the same at 154 Nm for both.
The 30 kWh battery accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 13.5 seconds, while the 40 kWh version does it in just 9 seconds. In terms of range, the smaller battery can go 365-375 km on a single charge and the bigger battery offers up to 468 km.
Tata Punch EV Facelift colour options
The facelifted Punch EV is available in seven colour options, including three new shades.
The colour includes fearless yellow, Bengal rouge, caramel, empowered oxide, supernova copper, pure grey and pristine white.

Tata Punch EV Facelift price
The Tata Punch EV facelift is available in five main variants: Smart, Smart Plus, Adventure, Empowered and Empowered Plus S.
The Smart 30 variant is priced at Rs 9.69 lakh (ex-showroom), while the Smart Plus 30 costs Rs 10.29 lakh. The Smart Plus 40 is available at Rs 10.89 lakh, and the Adventure 40 comes for Rs 11.59 lakh. The Empowered 40 variant is priced at Rs 12.29 lakh, and the top-end Empowered Plus S 40 costs Rs 12.59 lakh.
