Realme 16 5G has been launched in Vietnam. Powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6400 Turbo chipset, the mid-range smartphone boasts a 7,000mAh battery unit with wired charging support.
Realme 16 5G: Key Specifications
The latest smartphone from the Chinese brand features a 6.57-inch Full HD+ (1,080x2,372 pixels) flexible AMOLED display that offers up to 120Hz refresh rate and 397ppi pixel density. It has a 93% screen-to-body ratio. Offering a touch sampling rate of up to 240Hz, the device delivers 4,200 nits peak brightness and comes with DT Star D+ glass protection. Out of the box, the handset runs on Android 16 with Realme UI 7.0 on top.
Under the hood, the Realme 16 5G is powered by the octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 6400 Turbo chipset, which is paired with Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. Customers get up to 12GB LPDDR4x RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 2.2 internal storage.
The device has a dual rear camera setup, which includes a 50-megapixel wide-angle sensor with autofocus as well as a 2-megapixel monochrome camera. For taking perfect selfies, people get a 50-megapixel camera on the front.
The cameras on the Realme 16 5G come with support for various shooting modes, such as Night, Portrait, Dual-View Video, Cinematic, Slow Motion and others.
A major highlight of the smartphone is its 7,000mAh battery that comes with support for 60W wired fast charging, along with the option for reverse charging. Overall, the device measures 158.30x75.13x8.10mm and weighs around 183 grams.
The handset offers strong dust and water resistance with IP66 + IP68 + IP69 + IP69K ratings.
Besides this, customers also get Bluetooth 5.3, 5G, BeiDou, GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, QZSS, USB Type-C port, along with Wi-Fi 6. It comes with both facial recognition and an in-display ultrasonic fingerprint sensor.
Among other sensors on the device are e-compass, accelerometer, laser autofocus sensor, gyroscope, infrared control, hall sensor, spectrophotometer, proximity sensor, ambient light sensor and colour temperature sensor.
The smartphone has been introduced in two colour options: Black Cloud and White Swan.
Realme 16 5G: Price
The smartphone has been launched in two variants in Vietnam. Among these are the 8GB+256GB and 12GB+256GB models. The pricing starts at VND 11,490,000 (around Rs 40,000) for the 8GB+256GB variant, while the other one has debuted at VND 12,490,000 (nearly Rs. 44,000).

For now, the Chinese smartphone company has not shared any information regarding the availability of the Realme 16 5G device in other key markets, including India.
