Samsung has commenced the phased rollout of its inaugural 2025 software update for a spectrum of Galaxy devices. This update incorporates the January 2025 security patch, primarily addressing security vulnerabilities while also implementing crucial bug fixes to enhance system stability and performance.
The January 2025 security patch updates almost 30 vulnerabilities with five critical updates according to the company's security bulletin. Samsung has also rolled out 22 specific fixes for its own devices.
However, this time there is no major feature update, but it does improve security overall. For those waiting for One UI 7 is that it is still in beta for the Galaxy S24 series, however, we can expect the stable version later in February 2025.
Samsung has now started to roll out the update to a number of Galaxy models, with more likely to follow in the coming weeks as to which devices are receiving the update. Until now, the update has gone out to a number of smartphones. Check full list of smartphones:
