Google's entry into Visakhapatnam with its new facility being established will position the state as a destination for knowledge economy, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu said on Monday.
"Very soon, Google will come to Vizag. World data will be handled from here. So, the analytics will happen here and AI will be used to transmit it to the world. So, Andhra Pradesh will emerge as a destination for the knowledge economy," Naidu said at an inauguration event in VIT-AP University in Amaravati.
Google and the Andhra Pradesh government signed a memorandum of understanding in December to establish an artificial intelligence data centre and cloud data centre in Visakhapatnam, marking the start of efforts to attract Google to the state.
