Former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag has been left mighty impressed by Shreyas Iyer's captaincy in the ongoing season of the Indian Premier League. Sehwag has been so inspired by the Punjab Kings skipper that he has given him 10/10 marks on his leadership.
Interestingly though, Sehwag's former teammate Zaheer Khan disagrees with the score. The duo were speaking on a Cricbuzz show and analyzing Iyer's performance this year. It was here that Khan jokingly said: "The strict teacher has given full marks, but the more generous one hasn't."
Khan referred to himself as the as the generous teacher and said that Sehwag was strict while evaluating a player.
Under Iyer's captaincy, PBKS have remained the unbeaten this season and are at the top of the IPL points tally. They have also completed the highest run-chase in the history of men's T20 as they reached the target of 265 in a match against Delhi Capitals.

It is in the same show that Khan heaped praise on Sunrisers Hyderabad's stand-in captain Ishan Kishan.
Applauding Kishan, Khan said: "When he took over captaincy at the start of the season, he was following Cummins' leadership template. After a few games, he came up with his own template and somehow convinced the management to make some changes. They roped in the likes of Sakib Hussain and Praful Hinge into the XI. The change in philosophy as clearly reflected with the team on a winning run,"
With Pat Cummins recovering from a back issue, Kishan captained Sunrisers Hyderabad in seven matches this season, leading them to four wins. Now fully fit, Cummins has resumed the team's captaincy.
