Punjab Kings are off to a fiery start in their 2026 Indian Premier League (IPL) match against Delhi Capitals being played at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamsala on May 11. The man powering PBKS's breathtaking innings is their opener Priyansh Arya who hit a fifty off just 24 balls.
The 24-year-old made his intentions of dominating the DC bowlers crystal clear as he smacked the first ball of the Punjab innings, delivered by Mitchell Starc, for a six. He showed no remorse as he then took Lungi Ngidi too cleaners too hammering the South Africa pacer's first ball for a six too.

The fifty against DC is his third of the ongoing tournament. The left-handed batter has previously struck half-century against Sunrisers Hyderabad (57 off 20 balls) and Lucknow Super Giants (93 in 37 deliveries).
Thanks to his fifty Punjab scored 72/0 at the end of Powerplay.
He got out on the last delivery of the ninth over as he cut the ball and handed a catch to Sahil Parath at deep point there by giving DC newcomer Madhav Tiwari his maiden IPL wicket. Priyansh departed after scoring 56 off 33 balls hitting two fours and six sixes along the way.
Dream start for Madhav Tiwari 🔥
