The 2026 season of the Indian Premier League 2026 has already produced an electrifying first half, and with ‘Revenge Week' on JioStar approaching, the intensity is set to rise even further.

At the top of the table, Punjab Kings, Royal Challengers Bengaluru, and Rajasthan Royals have established early dominance. Meanwhile, teams lower down the standings will be looking to shift momentum in their favour. With high-stakes rematches lined up and plenty of unfinished business from earlier encounters, the next phase promises gripping action.

Why ‘Revenge Week' is a must-watch

Chennai Super Kings vs Mumbai Indians (May 2)

The IPL's biggest rivalry resumed as Chennai Super Kings took on Mumbai Indians on Saturday. CSK comfortably won their earlier clash at Wankhede, but both sides have struggled for consistency. With uncertainty around MS Dhoni's availability, CSK will still aim for a season double. MI, who lead the overall head-to-head 21-19, are under pressure after a poor run and will be desperate to respond in a must-win situation.

The match saw CSK beating MI by 8 wickets.

Sunrisers Hyderabad vs Kolkata Knight Riders (May 3)

Sunrisers Hyderabad and Kolkata Knight Riders renew a rivalry that has grown in recent years. SRH beat KKR earlier this season and are now on a four-match winning streak. KKR, however, are regaining form with consecutive wins. Despite KKR's historical dominance, 20-11 head-to-head and wins in key playoff clashes including the 2024 final, SRH will be eager to rewrite that narrative.

Gujarat Titans vs Punjab Kings (May 3)

GT take on table-toppers PBKS in a clash of strong batting units. PBKS have had the upper hand recently, winning their last three encounters. However, GT are regaining rhythm and will look to turn the tide at home. With leadership battles and explosive line-ups on both sides, this contest could have major implications for the standings.

Rajasthan Royals vs Gujarat Titans (May 9)

A fiercely competitive matchup between Rajasthan Royals and Gujarat Titans continues. Vaibhav Suryavanshi's stunning century earlier in the season was a standout moment, and RR also edged GT in a tense finish in Ahmedabad. While GT still lead the overall record 6-3, recent contests have been evenly split. With both teams in form, another close contest is expected.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru vs Mumbai Indians (May 10)

A blockbuster clash closes out the week as RCB face MI once again. RCB have looked strong in their title defence, while MI are yet to crack these big encounters this season. After losing the previous meeting while chasing a big total, MI will rely heavily on Jasprit Bumrah to counter RCB's explosive batting unit. For MI, this could define their season; for RCB, it's about maintaining momentum.
