Former Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh has heaped praise on Arjun Tendulkar for his commitment and relentless work ethic. Arjun, the son of legendary Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar, is currently toiling hard at Lucknow Super Giants (LSG). Tendulkar junior has spent hours training under Yuvraj and Yuvraj's father Yograj Singh.

For Yuvraj, it is like giving something back to the Tendulkars as he himself was inspired to play the sport seeing Sachin in action.

In his recent interview to Sports Tak, Yuvraj admitted that Arjun works harder than he did during his own playing days.

Showering praise on Arjun, Yuvraj said: "I've learned most of the things from his father-mental battles, physical battles, and technical battles. I am passing the same things to Arjun. He is learning from me, which is great. He is a nice kid; he is very sharp and picks up things very easily."

"I really wish that I could match his level of hard work. He loves the game. His father is probably the best player that I've seen. It is fascinating to see Arjun's commitment levels."

While Sachin is renowned for his batting, Arjun primarily is a bowler. Yograj, though, believes that Arjun should not be solely judged on his bowling skills, insisting that he is a very capable batter too.

Yuvraj, however, offered a more balanced assessment. While acknowledging Arjun's potential with the bat, he maintained that the youngster is still developing in that department.

“When Arjun started, he was definitely a better bowler. He's still learning as a batter, and if he continues working on it, he'll improve. One day even he may wonder whether his strength lies more in bowling or batting,” Yuvraj explained in the podcast.

For now, he's a bowler who can bat - just like I was a batter who could bowl. If I keep working with him, his batting will definitely get better,” added the ODI and the T20 World Cup winner for India.
