Container Corp Q1 Results: Profit Rises; Announces Dividend

Revenue up 2.4% to Rs 2,153.6 crore.

Container Corp.'s net profit rose 3% in the first quarter of the financial year 2025-26.

The company's bottom line climbed to Rs 266.5 crore in the April-June period, compared to Rs 258.2 crore in the same period last year, according to an exchange filing on Tuesday.

  • Revenue up 2.4% to Rs 2,153.63 crore versus Rs 2,103.13 crore.

  • Net profit up 3% to Rs 266.54 crore versus Rs 258.17 crore.

  • Ebitda down 2% to Rs 432.68 crore versus Rs 441.63 crore.

  • Margin narrows to 20.1% versus 21%.

Dividend

The board of Container Corp declared an interim dividend of Rs 1.6 per share at a face value of Rs 5 each for fiscal 2026. This amounts to Rs 121.86 crore.

The interim dividend will be paid to the eligible shareholders on or before Aug. 24, while the record date for the purpose of paying the dividend is set as Aug. 13.

The dividend will be paid within 30 days of its declaration.

Shares of Container Corp closed 0.49% lower at Rs 578.90 apiece on the NSE, compared to a 0.3% fall in the benchmark Nifty. The stock has fallen 26.03% in the last 12 months and 8.17% on a year-to-date basis.

Out of the 20 analysts tracking the company, 11 have a 'buy' rating on the stock, three recommend 'hold' and six gave 'sell', according to Bloomberg data. The average of 12-month analysts' price targets implies a potential upside of 7.5%.
