There have been repeated violations of the ceasefire by Pakistan barely hours after an understanding was arrived at between the two countries, Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri said.
"This is a breach of the understanding arrived earlier today. The armed forces are giving an adequate and appropriate response to these violations and we take very serious notice of these violations," he said at an urgent briefing late night Saturday.
"We call upon Pakistan to take appropriate steps to address these violations and deal with the situation with seriousness and responsibility."
According to Misri, the armed forces are maintaining a strong vision on the situation. They have been given instructions to deal strongly with any instances of repetition of the violations of the border, along the international border as well as the Line of Control.
BCCI Vice President Rajeev Shukla on Saturday said the Board officials and IPL Governing Council will discuss on Sunday the best possible schedule to complete the suspended T20 League following the announcement of an immediate ceasefire between India and Pakistan. Saudi Arabia's Minister of Foreign Affairs Faisal bin Farhan on Saturday evoked its “close and balanced relations” with both India and Pakistan and discussed efforts to de-escalate tensions and end ongoing military confrontations between them. The Holkar Stadium in Indore received a bomb blast threat, with the unidentified sender of an e-mail warning of retaliation in response to Operation Sindoor, police said on Saturday. The threat turned out to be a hoax.
"MPCA's (Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association) official email (ID) on Friday received a threatening message. The email, written in English, mentions that the stadium will be blasted due to 'Operation Sindoor' (of Indian armed forces)," Tukoganj police station in-charge Jitendra Singh Yadav told PTI.

A day after Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi revealed that there is a threat from the sea amid the military conflict between India and Pakistan, the police on Saturday said it has ensured unprecedented security cover along the coastline and around vital installations in the state.
The state police have made special security arrangements for safeguarding various installations like the Integrated Test Range (ITR), Chandipur in Balaosre district, Shree Jagannath temple in Puri, Hirakud Dam in Sambalpur, Paradip Port in Jagatsinghpur, Ordinance Factory in Bolangir district and other public places.

Mudassar Khadian Khas (also known as Abu Jundal), affiliated with Lashkar-e-Taiba, was reportedly in charge of Markaz Taiba, Muridke. His funeral was conducted with military honours, including a guard of honour from the Pakistan Army. Wreaths were laid on behalf of the Army Chief and Punjab Chief Minister. The funeral prayer, led by Hafiz Abdul Rauf of JuD, was held in a government school and attended by a serving Lieutenant General and the Punjab Police IG.
Hafiz Muhammed Jameel, linked to Jaish-e-Mohammed, was the eldest brother-in-law of Maulana Masood Azhar and oversaw Markaz Subhan Allah in Bahawalpur. He was involved in youth radicalisation and fundraising activities for the group.
Mohammad Yusuf Azhar (also known as Ustad Ji), a JeM operative and brother-in-law of Maulana Masood Azhar, managed weapons training and was implicated in several attacks in Jammu and Kashmir. He is also wanted in the IC-814 hijacking case.
Khalid (also known as Abu Akasha), associated with Lashkar-e-Taiba, participated in attacks in Jammu and Kashmir and was involved in weapons smuggling from Afghanistan. His funeral in Faisalabad was attended by senior army officers and the local deputy commissioner.
Mohammad Hassan Khan, a Jaish-e-Mohammed member and son of Mufti Asghar Khan Kashmiri, played a key role in organising attacks in Jammu and Kashmir from Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.
Authorities have not officially commented on the operational details of the May 7 strikes.
Pakistan is firing drones in the range of Jaisalmer, Phalodi, and Pokhran, according to NDTV report.
Explosions have been heard from Pokhran, and there appears to be heightened activity near Jaisalmer and Pokhran the report said, adding that a red alert has been issued in the area authorities have urged people to stay indoors for their safety.

Amitabh Kant said Pakistan must be held fully accountable for repeatedly using IMF bailouts to fund cross-border terrorism.
He added that Pakistan has received 24 IMF bailouts since 1950 and borrowed in 28 of the last 35 years, with a poor track record of following programme conditions.
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio spoke with External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, stressing the need for de-escalation and direct communication.
In an official statement, the US said Rubio offered American support to help facilitate constructive discussions and prevent further tensions.
Pakistan used drones, missiles, and jets to target over 26 sites, damaging Indian airbases and civilian areas, Colnel Sofiya Qureshi told reporters during a media briefing.
She added that attacks hit Udhampur, Bhuj, Pathankot, and Bathinda, and even targeted health facilities and schools in Punjab at 1:40 am.
Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri said it is Pakistan’s actions that have led to repeated provocations and escalations along the border.
He added that India has consistently responded in a responsible and measured manner. “Earlier this morning, we saw a repeat of this escalatory and provocative pattern,” he said.
The Indian Armed Forces conducted a precision strike on Pakistan’s Sialkot airbase, Wing Commander Vyomika Singh said told reporters in a media briefing.
Singh added that Pakistan Army troop movements towards forward positions indicate possible plans for further escalation.
"India remains on high operational alert and has countered all hostile actions and The armed forces reiterated their commitment to avoid escalation, provided Pakistan does the same," Singh said.
Pakistan’s recent actions amounted to provocation and escalation along India’s western border, Wing Commander Vyomika Singh told reporters in a media briefing.
India responded in a responsible and measured manner, defending against attacks while maintaining restraint, Singh said, adding that Pakistan targeted air force stations at Udhampur, Pathankot, Adampur, and Bhuj.
She also said that Pakistan appeared to shield its activities behind civilian aircraft flying from Lahore.
The Ministry of Defence said Pakistan continued its attacks on 10 May by targeting civilian areas and religious sites, including the Shambhu Temple in Jammu.
According to the ministry, several armed drones were sent overnight, posing threats to civilians and places of worship. The Indian Armed Forces remain on alert and committed to protecting national sovereignty.

The Border Security Force said Pakistan opened unprovoked fire on its positions along the International Boundary in Jammu sector at around 9 PM on 09 May 2025.

Three strategic Pakistan Air Force bases—Nur Khan, Rafiqui, and Murid—have reportedly been struck, significantly impacting Pakistan’s air operations.

AIIMS Bhubaneswar has cancelled all forms of leave, including vacation and station leave, for its faculty, residents, officers, and staff with immediate effect, citing emerging circumstances.

The Ministry of External Affairs and the Ministry of Defence will hold a joint media briefing at 10:30 AM today, news agency ANI said in post on X.
Mumbai’s Siddhivinayak temple will prohibit devotees from bringing coconuts, garlands and ‘prasad’ for offerings starting May 11, the temple trust announced on Friday.
Shree Siddhivinayak Ganapati Mandir Trust chairman Sada Sarvankar said the decision was taken following security advisories. A recent meeting with senior police officials raised concerns that coconuts could bypass security checks and that ‘prasad’ could be tampered with.
"We get many advisories from the government as well as the police. Of the safety measures, they said the coconuts that are offered to Lord Ganesh are not detected during security screening and this could lead to danger. The prasad could be poisoned. To avoid this, we will not allow garlands and coconut to be offered to the deity for the time being," he said.
The temple receives thousands of visitors daily and has been flagged in multiple advisories as a possible target, Sarvankar added.

Multiple explosions were heard during the early hours on Saturday in the background during a live NDTV broadcast from Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir, amid heightened tensions between India and Pakistan.
The incident occurred at 6 AM today while NDTV’s Shiv Aroor was reporting live from the ground. The sound of explosions was captured on air as the situation along the Line of Control remains tense.
Singapore said on Friday that it is gravely concerned about the ongoing tensions between India and Pakistan and has urged both parties to de-escalate.
"Singapore is gravely concerned about the ongoing military confrontation between India and Pakistan following the heinous terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, on April 22," Singapore's Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement.
