5,000 power distribution transformers to be set up in Haryana

Electric utility company Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam will set up 5,000 additional power distribution transformers during next six months to augment capacity of the power distribution system.

Chandigarh:

Electric utility company Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (DHBVN) will set up 5,000 additional power distribution transformers during next six months to augment capacity of the power distribution system.

To be carried out under the programme of special maintenance and renovation of power distribution system, DHBVN will spend about Rs 500 crore under the programme by June, 2013.

This information was stated by DHBVN director V K Chaudhary while addressing a gathering at village Devsar near here after starting the work of special maintenance and renovation of the distribution system in the village, said an official release.

The director said DHBVN has started the special campaign for maintenance of power distribution system in about 100 villages its area.

The special maintenance and renovation of the distribution system will be completed within this week in these 100 villages and the work in next 100 villages or urban wards will be taken in hands next week.

Special maintenance and renovation of whole of the distribution system will be completed by June, 2013.

Under Bhiwani circle, 16 villages have been taken for special maintenance during this week.
