Shares of SpaceX traded in green during the trading session on Monday, August after chipmaker Nvidia announced that the Elon-Musk led company will be adopt Vera Rubin platform for AI supercomputing to power its Grok AI, with the aim to scale up its AI systems.
Primarily trading in red after the opening bell on Monday, SpaceX shares advanced 0.38% to $137.49, following the development.
The rocket company will also be using the Vera Rubin platform for orbital computing in space satellite including Starmind AI satellite.
"SpaceXAI's planned first-generation Starmind AI satellite will be based on the optimized NVIDIA Vera Rubin NVL72 rack-scale system, extending the same accelerated computing architecture powering next-generation AI factories on Earth into space," Nvidia said in a blogpost on Monday.
