Surf’s Up: Nifty Close To Near-Term Bottom, Says K Subramanyam

After witnessing the year's most volatile derivatives expiry in November, the Nifty 50 index is back above 8,200. Foreign portfolio investors continue to sell in the cash markets and add long positions in index futures. But will volatility, which has substantially fallen in the last three days, remain low as markets approach the Reserve Bank of India's credit policy in the coming week?

On Bloomberg Quint's Surf's Up which tracks weekly trends in equity derivatives, K Subramanyam of Altamount Capital says major equity indices are closer to the lower end of the range and there is more upside in store.
