According to Moonshot, Kimi users can directly access frequently used information for analysis and reporting, thanks to partnerships with industry data providers including S&P Global Market Intelligence, Crunchbase, Wind, leading local financial news outlets, and the business database Tianyancha.

The startup stated that Kimi can also directly access the US Securities and Exchange Commission's EDGAR system, which contains financial filings from public companies, as well as the IMF, World Bank, and the US. Federal Reserve Economic Data site.

Although users aren't required to download a separate interface, a test of Kimi's mobile app showed that access to various types of data varied based on subscription level.

Monthly subscriptions to Kimi begin at 49 yuan ( $7.31) and can rise to 699 yuan ( $104.23).

"The real inflexion point really is the combination of stronger AI capabilities with professional expertise,” Samuel Fischer, Beijing branch manager at Deutsche Bank, said in a promotional video published by Moonshot on Thursday. “AI companies that understand real financial workflows and can deliver reliability and data security will be particularly well positioned to contribute to this transformation.”

“AI can now organise and compare this kind of information, identify inconsistencies, and support initial analysis,” he added.

It was unclear at first whether Deutsche Bank was a client.
