Akshay Kumar's latest horror-comedy film, Bhooth Bangla, has entered its first Monday at the box office. The film, directed by Priyadarshan, is currently seeing a drop in figures on Day 4 as it is expected on a weekday. However, with the evening and night shows left, the weekday collections might get somewhat steady.

Bhooth Bangla - Box Office Collection Day 4

According to early estimates from Sacnilk, the film has collected Rs 2.09 crore across 5,935 shows on day 4 as of now. This brings the total net collections of the film to Rs 60.09 crore. Meanwhile, the total gross collections have crossed Rs 70 crore, as currently, the figures are Rs 71.84 crore. Moreover, the film has also reportedly collected a worldwide gross of Rs 97.87 crore as of day 3. 

Occupancy - Day 4

Following the trend on Day 4, the overall occupancy has been reported quite low at only 12.12%. As expected on a Monday, the morning shows saw a very low occupancy of 8.62%. However, with the afternoon shows currently going on, the occupancy rose up to 15.62%. With the evening and night shows yet to commence, the overall occupancy is subject to change by the end of day 4.

Occupancy in Major Regions - Day 4

The National Capital Region (NCR) recorded the highest number of shows with 948 screenings, though the overall occupancy stood at a low 11.5%. Mumbai, with 565 shows recorded, has an overall occupancy of 14.0%. Ahmedabad stood third in terms of the number of shows with 424 shows, but recorded one of the lowest occupancies at just 8.0%. Bengaluru, with 256 shows, saw a positive occupancy rate of 17.0%. 

Jaipur, with only 87 shows, recorded a medium range occupancy of 18.0%, the highest among major regions on day 4. Likewise, Chennai saw a better occupancy of 17.5%, even though it had only 60 shows.

Bhooth Bangla opened with a mixed response. On day 0, the film collected Rs 3.75 crore. However, the film saw a jump on Day 1, collecting Rs 12.25 crore. Though this was still lower than expected, given the massive pre-release hype.

Day 2 and Day 3, being the opening weekend for the film, received a positive response. The first Saturday saw a strong collection of Rs 19 crore, which further jumped by 21% on Sunday to Rs 23 crore.

About The Film

Bhooth Bangla is directed by Priyadarshan and produced by Balaji Motion Pictures along with Akshay Kumar's Cape of Good Films. With Akshay Kumar as the main lead, the film also features the OG comedy dream team of Rajpal Yadav, Paresh Rawal, Manoj Joshi, and late actor Asrani. 

The female cast of the film includes Tabu, Wamiqa Gabbi, and Mithila Palkar. 

The story revolves around a haunted mansion named Bhooth Bangla in the fictional town of Mangalpur, haunted by a dark supernatural entity called Vadhusur.
