The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) declared the SSC Class 10 examination results on Friday, May 8, at 11:30 a.m. Candidates can access their scores through the official portals, sscresult.mahahsscboard.in and sscresult.mkcl.org. A formal press conference took place at 11 a.m. at the board's Pune office before the digital release of the results. 

The Maharashtra SSC examinations for Class 10 were carried out from Feb. 20 to March 18, 2026. It recorded registrations from 16,15,489 students for the 2026 SSC examinations. Among them were 8.65 lakh boys, nearly 7.5 lakh girls and 13 transgender students. The exams were organised across 5,111 centres throughout the state.

Police in Pune registered a case in March after claims emerged that the SSC Mathematics Part 1 and Part 2 question papers were leaked online ahead of the examinations. The papers were allegedly circulated through a Telegram group called ‘Maharashtraleakers'.

MSBSHSE acting chairperson Nandkumar Bedse said investigators suspect the incident may have been linked to an attempt to swindle parents out of money.

Steps To Download Maharashtra SSC 10th Result

Here are the steps for downloading the result:

  • Students should first log on to mahahsscboard.in or mahresult.nic.in.

  • Select the ‘Maharashtra SSC Result 2026' option on the website.

  • Enter the required examination details to proceed.

  • The result status and marks will be displayed online.

  • Download the digital scorecard and retain it for later use.

Candidates appearing for the Maharashtra SSC exams must score at least 33% to be declared successful. The evaluation structure assigns 80 marks to the theory component, while the remaining 20 marks are based on internal assessment, taking the total to 100 marks per subject.

Ahead of the written examinations, practical tests were organised in February across various schools and centres in Maharashtra. Students later sat for subjects including languages, mathematics, science and social science. Officials said strict invigilation and regulatory measures were implemented to ensure the smooth and fair conduct of examinations statewide.

Over the past several years, the Maharashtra Board has generally released SSC examination results either in May or during the opening days of June. In 2025, the results were announced on May 13, recording an overall pass percentage of 93.04%. Nearly 15 lakh students successfully cleared the exams from a pool of more than 16 lakh registered candidates.
