The CTET 2026 exam comprised of two papers

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), which oversees the CTET, is poised to announce the CTET February 2026 results. The results will be accessible on the official website ctet.nic.in. The Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) for February 2026 took place on Feb. 7 and 8, with an additional round on March 1 for two centers in Bihar.

In addition to the CTET 2026 result, the CBSE is anticipated to release the final answer key. This key will be developed following an assessment of the objections submitted regarding the provisional answer key, ensuring precision in evaluation. Aspirants can utilize the final answer key to verify their answers and comprehend their ultimate scores.

Provisional answer key

On March 12, the CBSE published the provisional answer keys for CTET 2026 along with scanned images of candidates' OMR answer sheets. Candidates had until March 15 to submit objections regarding the CTET 2026 answer key.

Minimum passing marks

Aspirants achieving 60% or higher in the CTET examination will be recognized as CTET pass. Educational institutions, which take CTET scores into account while hiring teachers, might consider extending concessions to individuals from SC/ST, OBC, differently abled individuals, etc., in line with their prevailing reservation policies.

CTET used for government school teacher recruitment

The CTET 2026 exam comprised of two papers – paper 1 (for Classes 1 to 5) and paper 2 (for Classes 6 to 8). The CTET scores will be utilized for applications to central government schools, including KVS, NVS, central Tibetan schools, as well as institutions governed by the union territories of Chandigarh, Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Daman and Diu, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep, and the NCT of Delhi.

As many as 2,78,277 candidates successfully passed Paper 1 and Paper 2 of the CTET December 2024 examination. In total, 6,86,197 candidates registered for Paper 1, with 5,72,489 taking the test, and 1,38,389 candidates passing. For Paper 2 of the CTET December 2024 examination, 13,62,884 candidates registered, 11,36,087 participated, and 1,39,888 candidates passed.
