Trinamool Congress has given a 72-hour deadline to the government for rollback of FDI in multibrand retail and diesel price hike, said party leader Mukul Roy.

Kolkata:

Trinamool Congress has given a 72-hour deadline to the government for rollback of FDI in multibrand retail and diesel price hike, said party leader Mukul Roy.

Key UPA ally Trinamool Congress strongly opposed the union cabinet's decision to operationalise 51 per cent FDI in multi-brand retail. "Trinamool Congress is strongly opposing the cabinet decision to allow FDI in multi-brand retail. We are not in agreement with the decision," party MP Kunal Ghose said.

He said: "Trinamool Congress is registering its strong protest, but the Congress-led government at the Centre is taking anti-people policies." He said that the Trinamool Congress would continue to oppose FDI in  retail.
