New Delhi: Berger Paints on Thursday reported a 37.80 per cent increase in consolidated net profit at Rs 101.11 crore for the fiscal third quarter ended December 2015.
The company had posted consolidated net profit of Rs 73.37 crore for the corresponding period a year ago.
Berger Paints' net sales during the quarter under review increased 10.17 per cent to Rs 1,074.07 crore from Rs 974.89 crore in the corresponding period a year ago, the company said in a filing to the BSE.
In a separate filing, Berger Paints informed that its board in a meeting held on Thursday declared an interim dividend of Rs 0.65 per equity share of Rs 1 each fully paid for the financial year 2015-16.
"This will entail an out go of Rs 45.08 crore on account of interim dividend (excluding dividend distribution tax)," it added.
Shares in Berger Paints, on Thursday, ended 1.55 per cent higher at Rs 268.20 apiece on the BSE, whose benchmark Sensex index finished up 0.48 per cent.
