Eicher Motors has expanded its motorcycle range in the country with the launch of 535-cc motorcycle Continental GT. The vehicle is priced at Rs 2.05 lakh (on-road Delhi).
At present, Royal Enfield, the Chennai-based arm of the company, sells various models including Bullet, Classic and Thunderbird.
"Our ambition is to make sure that our motorcycles are accessible so we took pains to keep the prices down," chief executive Siddhartha Lal told reporters.
The motorbike would be retailed at Rs 2.14 lakh (on road) in Mumbai and below Rs 2 lakh in some markets including Punjab, he said.
The Continental GT would be manufactured at the company's Oragadum manufacturing plant in Tamil Nadu.
The company had launched the vehicle in the international market earlier this year.
