Maruti Suzuki, the most popular car manufacturer in India has recently launched two new CNG versions of their existing car models; the Maruti Suzuki Baleno CNG and the Maruti Suzuki XL6 CNG. The Maruti Suzuki Baleno is already an extremely popular car and customers had been waiting for a long time for a CNG version to be introduced. Similarly, the XL6 is a well-like car and many people had been waiting for a CNG version of this model. Let's take a closer look at both the Baleno CNG as well as the XL6 CNG with their features.
New Maruti Suzuki Baleno CNG: Features And Pricing
Maruti Suzuki launched the Baleno CNG version on October 31, 2022. The Maruti Suzuki Baleno CNG starts at an ex-showroom price of ₹8.28 lakh and the pricing can go up depending on upgrades chosen. The new Baleno CNG is powered by a capable 1,197 cc four-cylinder Dual Jet Duel VVT engine combined with a standard five-speed manual transmission. The Baleno CNG motor produces 89 bhp of power and 113 Nm of torque while in petrol mode. When powered by CNG, the motor produces 76 bhp at 6000 rpm and 98.5 Nm of torque at 4300 rpm. Maruti Suzuki has claimed that the Baleno CNG can offer a fuel efficiency of up to 30.61km/kg in CNG mode. Multiple automobile publishers also claim that the power output of the Baleno CNG is very similar to the recently launched Maruti Suzuki Swift CNG.
The new Maruti Suzuki Baleno CNG comes packed with many exciting new features such as a large 7-inch touchscreen media entertainment system powered by SmartPlayPro, LED projector headlamps, Android Auto and Apple Car Play. Not just these, but the Baleno CNG also has practical value-added features like six airbags, a rearview camera, parking sensors, USB Type A and Type C ports, an engine start and stop switch, a rear defogger, etc.
New Maruti Suzuki XL6 CNG: Features and Pricing
At the same time when the Baleno CNG was launched, Maruti Suzuki also introduced the new XL6 CNG. The new XL6 CNG starts at an ex-showroom price of ₹12.24 lakh for its solo variant, the Zeta MT. Priced significantly higher than the Baleno CNG, the XL6 CNG is a spacious and powerful MPV that comes with a 1.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine with a standard five-speed transmission. The XL6's motor can produce 99 bhp and 136 Nm of torque while in petrol mode. When powered by CNG, the XL6's motor can produce 87 bhp and 121.5 Nm of torque. Maruti Suzuki claims that the XL6 CNG can provide a fuel efficiency of 26km/kg in CNG mode. Like the Baleno CNG, the Maruti Suzuki XL6 CNG also comes equipped with a large 7-inch touchscreen media entertainment system powered by SmartPlayPro, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, cruise control, LED DRLs and fog lights, etc.
