Prithviraj Sukumaran-starrer Khalifa: The Ruler saw a drop in earnings on Friday. The Malayalam action thriller recorded lower collections on its second day compared to its opening day.
Day 2 Box Office Collection
Khalifa: The Ruler collected Rs 2.3 crore net in India on Day 2 from 1,441 shows, recording an overall occupancy of 32%. As per Sacnilk, the film's total India net collection has reached Rs 7.65 crore, while its India gross stands at Rs 8.90 crore.
The film added Rs 4 crore to its overseas gross collection on Day 2, taking its total overseas gross to Rs 11 crore. Its worldwide gross collection has now reached Rs 19.90 crore.
The Day 2 collection was 57% lower than the opening-day earnings of Rs 5.35 crore.
Day 2 Occupancy
The Malayalam 2D version recorded an overall occupancy of 27.34% on Day 2. Morning shows registered 11.33%, while afternoon screenings recorded 21.33% and evening shows saw 29% occupancy. According to Sacnilk, night shows recorded the highest occupancy at 46.42%.
Box Office Collection So Far
Sacnilk reports that Khalifa: The Ruler opened with Rs 5.35 crore net in India on Day 1 from 1,967 shows, recording 46% occupancy. Day 2 added another Rs 2.30 crore, taking the film's India net collection to Rs 7.65 crore.

Khalifa: The Ruler is a Malayalam action thriller directed by Vysakh and written by Jinu V. Abraham. The film stars Prithviraj Sukumaran as Mambaraykkal Aamir Ali, along with Neil Nitin Mukesh, Malvika Sharma, Shammi Thilakan, Indrans and Renji Panicker.
The story is about Aamir Ali and his powerful family. Their lives are affected by betrayal, revenge and a fight for power. The film is the first part of a two-film series, with Khalifa: The Legacy set to continue the story.
