(Bloomberg) -- While Israel seeks peace, it's prepared for any scenario, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Tuesday, following a tour of the Golan Heights.
“I don't advise anyone to test us,” Netanyahu said. He and ministers from the security cabinet toured the area, captured from Syria during the 1967 Middle East war, with military chief of staff Lieutenant-General Gadi Eisenkot and other senior military officers.
Israel has expressed concern that Iran and its proxy, the Lebanese Hezbollah militant group, are entrenching on the other side of the frontier. Netanyahu traveled to Moscow last week to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin to discuss security coordination in Syria between Israeli and Russian forces.
