Delhivery has reshuffled its top leadership, promoting Chief Business Officer Vani Venkatesh to Deputy Chief Executive Officer with immediate effect. At the same time, Chief Operating Officer and Key Managerial Personnel Ajith Pai will leave the company in September.

Pai, a founding member of Delhivery, will step down at the close of business on September 15, 2026, to pursue opportunities on his own, the company said in a regulatory filing on August 8.

Pai has held several key roles at Delhivery, including Chief Financial Officer, before taking charge as COO. His exit comes as the logistics company continues to make changes to its senior leadership team.

Venkatesh joined Delhivery in February 2025 as Chief Business Officer and KMP, where she was responsible for the company's revenue functions. In her new role, she will oversee revenue, marketing and customer experience. She will also work closely with Delhivery's operations teams.

“Ajith is a founding member of Delhivery and has made invaluable contributions to the company since the very beginning, as CFO and then as COO,” Managing Director and CEO Sahil Barua said.

Barua said Venkatesh's promotion reflects her growing responsibilities and contribution to the company. He added that the move is part of Delhivery's effort to develop its senior leaders for wider roles.

Delhivery Sees More Senior-Level Changes

The latest changes come after several senior management and board-level exits and appointments at Delhivery over the past year.

In November 2025, CFO Amit Agarwal stepped down and was replaced by Vivek Pabari. Independent director Aruna Sundararajan also resigned from the board, citing other commitments.

In April 2026, Chairman Deepak Kapoor and independent director Saugata Gupta stepped down as part of a board refresh.

In May, Delhivery elevated six senior executives to key leadership roles. Varun Bakshi became Chief Sales Officer and Vikas Kapoor Chief Strategy Officer. Arun Bagavathi, Prashant Gazipur and Nikhil Ummat were appointed COOs for network operations, in-city operations, and engineering and automation, respectively. Sunny Raja became Chief Procurement Officer.

Venkatesh has more than two decades of experience across Airtel, McKinsey, Unilever and Abbott Nutrition. At Airtel, she held senior roles including CEO of its global business and Delhi-NCR operations, Chief Marketing Officer and CEO of its retail business.
