The development comes a day after WHO and Swiss officials confirmed an Andes hantavirus case tied to the MV Hondius outbreak that has left three passengers dead so far.
Swiss officials had further informed that the general public is not in danger.
The Andes strain, the only one known to propagate among humans, has been identified as the cause of this specific outbreak.
The ship, MV Hondius, a Dutch-operated expedition cruise ship, departed Argentina on April 1 with 147 people on board.
