The United States would separately work with Lebanon and "deal with the Hezbollah situation in an appropriate manner", Trump said.

US President Donald Trump has claimed that Israel will no longer carry out bombing raids in Lebanon and said Washington has explicitly prohibited further attacks, marking a dramatic intervention in the conflict along Israel's northern border.

In a post on Truth Social, Trump wrote, “Israel will not be bombing Lebanon any longer. They are prohibited from doing so by the U.S.A. Enough is enough!!! (sic)”

He added that the United States would separately work with Lebanon and “deal with the Hezbollah situation in an appropriate manner.”

The remarks came a day after Trump announced a 10-day ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon following what he described as “excellent conversations” with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Lebanese President Joseph Aoun.

According to multiple reports, the truce was aimed at creating space for broader diplomatic negotiations between the US and Iran and reducing the risk of a wider regional war.

Trump's latest statement also referenced a separate US arrangement involving Iran. In the same post, he said the United States would receive all nuclear “dust” created by B-2 bombers and that “no money will exchange hands in any way, shape, or form,” while insisting the understanding was not linked to Lebanon.

The exact meaning of the “nuclear dust” reference was unclear, and no official US clarification was immediately available.

The Israel-Lebanon front has intensified in recent weeks amid parallel tensions involving Iran and the United States. Israeli strikes and cross-border exchanges with Hezbollah have displaced civilians, damaged infrastructure and raised fears of a multi-front regional escalation.

The Washington Post reported that more than 2,100 people had been killed in Lebanon during the recent fighting, though conditions on the ground remain volatile despite the ceasefire announcement.

Questions remain over how enforceable Trump's declaration will be. Hezbollah was reportedly not directly involved in the ceasefire negotiations, and Israel has previously said it reserves the right to act in self-defence.

Israeli officials have also signalled they intend to maintain a buffer zone in southern Lebanon even during the truce period.

Still, Trump's public assertion that Israel has been barred from further bombing is one of the strongest statements yet from Washington on the Lebanon conflict. Whether it translates into a sustained halt in hostilities or becomes another temporary pause will likely depend on developments in the coming days.
