US President Donald Trump warned Iran that Israel won't attack its South Pars gas field again, but if Iran strikes Qatar's energy facilities, the US will "massively blow up the entirety" of the field. Trump made this threat on social media, stating Israel acted without US knowledge and Qatar was uninvolved. He emphasised he's reluctant to authorise such destruction but won't hesitate if Qatar's LNG is attacked again.

In a post on Truth Social, Trump wrote, "Israel, out of anger for what has taken place in the Middle East, has violently lashed out at a major facility known as South Pars Gas Field in Iran. A relatively small section of the whole has been hit. The United States knew nothing about this particular attack, and the country of Qatar was in no way, shape, or form, involved with it, nor did it have any idea that it was going to happen. Unfortunately, Iran did not know this, or any of the pertinent facts pertaining to the South Pars attack, and unjustifiably and unfairly attacked a portion of Qatar's LNG Gas facility."

"NO MORE ATTACKS WILL BE MADE BY ISRAEL pertaining to this extremely important and valuable South Pars Field unless Iran unwisely decides to attack a very innocent, in this case, Qatar - In which instance the United States of America, with or without the help or consent of Israel, will massively blow up the entirety of the South Pars Gas Field at an amount of strength and power that Iran has never seen or witnessed before. I do not want to authorise this level of violence and destruction because of the long term implications that it will have on the future of Iran, but if Qatar's LNG is again attacked, I will not hesitate to do so. Thank you for your attention to this matter," concluded Trump.

Israel killed Iran's intelligence minister and reportedly struck an offshore Iranian natural gas field on Wednesday, intensifying its campaign against the Islamic Republic's top leadership.

Tehran condemned the reported attack on the South Pars gas field which is the world's largest natural gas reservoir with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian warning that such actions could trigger 'uncontrollable consequences' that might "engulf the entire world."

Iran responded by widening its retaliation to include energy infrastructure across the Persian Gulf. It launched strikes on gas facilities in Qatar after Israel targeted the South Pars offshore field, which Iran shares with Doha. In response, Qatari authorities ordered officials at the Iranian Embassy to leave the country within 24 hours.

Tehran also hit the Habshan gas facility and the Bab field in the United Arab Emirates. The UAE government described the strikes as a “dangerous escalation” in Iran's conflict with Israel and the United States. Authorities in Abu Dhabi said gas operations at the affected sites had been shut down following air defence interceptions over the facilities.

The attacks on Qatar and the UAE have increased pressure on Gulf Arab states, which have been bracing for Iranian strikes since the conflict began on Feb. 28. While these countries have largely focused on defensive measures, they have so far refrained from launching offensive action against Iran, even as their military bases, civilian areas and critical energy infrastructure have come under fire.
