Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday held a delegation-level talks with UAE president in Abu Dhabi and stressed on the need to emphaise on dialogue and diplomacy to resolve the crisis in the Middle East, while highlighting that the conflict is impacting the entire world at present.
PM Modi said "...Brother, the impact of the current conflict in West Asia is being felt across the entire world today. India has always prioritized the path of dialogue and diplomacy as the means to resolve problems. Maintaining a free, open, and safe Strait of Hormuz is our highest priority. In this regard, adherence to international law is essential..."
PM Modi landed in the UAE on Friday, beginning a five-nation visit that will also include the Netherlands, Sweden, Norway and Italy. He landed in Abu Dhabi by afternoon, where he was welcomed by UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and received a guard of honour after arrival.

Following the visit, PM Modi in a post on X said, "Concluding a short but highly productive visit to the UAE. Held extensive discussions with my brother, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, on ways to further deepen the India-UAE Comprehensive Strategic Partnership. I am confident that the outcomes of this visit will further strengthen our friendship and contribute to growth and prosperity."
He added, "This UAE visit also saw the conclusion of key agreements across vital areas such as energy, defence, infrastructure, shipping and advanced technology, giving fresh impetus to the India-UAE Comprehensive Strategic Partnership. In another important development, UAE announced investments worth USD 5 billion in India. This will further deepen economic ties."
