Unemployment rate among persons of age 15 years and above has remained at 5.6% in June, according to the periodic labour force survey published on Tuesday. It saw a modest uptick to 7.1% for urban areas compared to 6.9% in May. For rural areas it saw a downtick to 4.9% from 5.1% in May.

Shubhanshu Shukla, the pilot of the Axiom Mission-4 from the Indian Space Research Organisation, successfully landed into the Pacific Ocean along with the rest of his crew on Tuesday. The crew's Dragon Spacecraft successfully splashed down, after deploying parachutes as it descended into earth's orbit, according to SpaceX's livestream.

Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Ltd. disclosed on Monday a significant default of Rs 8,584.9 crore in principal and interest payments to seven public sector banks as of June 2025, according to an exchange filing. The affected lenders include Union Bank of India, Punjab National Bank, State Bank of India, UCO Bank, Indian Overseas Bank, Punjab & Sind Bank, and Bank of India.

Honeywell International said it won't speculate over the questions related to fuel control switches used in Boeing aircraft. Honeywell produces fuel control switches for multiple Boeing aircraft models, including the 737, 747, 767, and the 787 Dreamliner, which was operating the Ahmedabad-London flight at the time of the crash that killed 260 people.
