Google Introduces Universal Commerce Protocol

Google has introduced the Universal Commerce Protocol, a free, open standard powered by AI agents. UCP helps users discover products, decide what to buy, complete purchases, and receive post-purchase assistance. An upcoming feature will support smooth, native checkout directly within AI chats or search results, including in Google Search or the Gemini app.

iPhones Under Attack

Certain iPhone users are being actively targeted by sophisticated cyberattacks using advanced spyware. These attacks often involve zero-click exploits that compromise devices without any user interaction, such as clicking links or opening attachments. Apple notes that regular software updates alone may not fully block these threats for everyone. The targeted individuals typically include high-value targets such as journalists, activists, politicians, diplomats, and lawyers.

Vivo has officially teased the Vivo X200T ahead of its launch in India. The teaser shows the rear design with a circular camera module co-branded with Zeiss and a triple rear camera setup, along with a purple colour option. Further details on the launch date (expected in January) and specifications will be revealed soon.

OpenAI Unveils ChatGPT Translate

OpenAI launched ChatGPT Translate, a standalone web tool supporting more than 50 languages and positioned as a competitor to Google Translate. It features a dual-panel layout with one box for source text and another for the translation, plus dropdown menus for selecting languages. A standout feature is one-tap prompt options that let users refine the translated text; for example, making it more fluent, rewriting in a business-formal tone, simplifying for children, or adapting for an academic audience.

iQOO Z11 Turbo Launched

The iQOO Z11 Turbo was introduced in China. It is powered by Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset and includes a dual rear camera setup (200MP primary sensor and 8MP ultrawide), 32MP front camera, 7,600mAh battery, a 6.59-inch 1.5K Amoled display with 144Hz refresh rate, and IP68 + IP69 dust and water resistance ratings.
