Vi Business, the enterprise arm of telecom operator Vi, and digital financial services provider PayU have partnered to drive India's micro, small and medium enterprises towards their digital journeys by providing them with digital payment solutions.

The partnership will combine Vi Business's digital transformation solutions and PayU's expertise in digital payments and financial solutions to offer services designed to address the growing needs of MSMEs.

Vi Business, as part of its MSME programme ReadyForNext, will also offer a range of productivity and collaboration digital tools for MSMEs. These include location tracking, Google workspace, personal cloud storage and mobile security solutions to assist MSME's in managing their digital workplace, business and customer engagements.

“Our partnership with PayU underscores our commitment towards digital enablement of small and medium-sized businesses in India,” said Arvind Nevatia, chief enterprise business officer at Vi.

According to the press release, the MSME services offered by the companies include:

Payment Solutions: This includes a payment gateway with zero transaction charges for UPI and RuPay and reduced rates for domestic debit/credit cards and net banking.

WhatsApp Store: The store will enable businesses to offer their customers a better shopping experience and collect payments within WhatsApp. It reduces friction in the checkout process and removes the need for redirection between apps or websites.

Buy Now Pay Later: BNPL will enable MSMEs to receive full payment at the time of purchase while customers get flexible payment options.

Customised Offers At Checkout: PayU's ‘Offer Engine' will allow MSMEs to create and run promotion campaigns for customers.

"Our partnership with Vi Business is a testament to our commitment to supporting Indian MSMEs in their digital transformation. Together, we are providing a robust suite of business and digital finance solutions designed to increase revenues and boost efficiency," said PayU Chief Executive Officer Anirban Mukherjee.
