The instant image messaging app Snapchat announced the launch of a new feature called Snapchat Memories. This is a big change for the app as its basic concept was to send photos and videos that disappear in a day. Here’s what has changed:

  • “Memories,” is an album within the app where users can save photos and videos which they can later upload to their “Story,” a slide show of contents that disappears after 24 hours.
  • The photos and videos get saved on the app’s server, so you can save space on your phone’s memory.
  • You can also upload photos from your camera roll and create a “Memory” and later on publish it as a “Story”. You can add snaps of a particular day, maybe an anniversary or a birthday and go over it later.
  • To ensure the security of its users, there is a feature called “Eyes Only” that saves your photos and videos with a password. That way your friends cannot see the photos you send to your girlfriend/boyfriend.
  • “Memories” will be made available to people over a period of time to ensure smooth functioning of the feature in all devices.

Just wait for your update and start creating memories.
