Redmi Note 15 Pro+ May Get A Feature Found In iPhone 16, Google Pixel 9, Samsung Galaxy S25

The Redmi Note 15 Pro+ is anticipated to debut as the successor to the Note 14 Pro+, and it’s supposed to get a feature that is often found in higher-end or flagship smartphones only.

A recent leak indicates that the Note 15 Pro+ will be the first Redmi phone to support satellite connectivity. Generally, this technology is found in premium devices such as Apple iPhone 16, Google Pixel 9, and Samsung Galaxy S25. 

However, if this rumour comes out to be true, the Note 15 Pro+ will make access to satellite connectivity more affordable, with the premium feature now introduced in a mid-range smartphone.

The Note 15 Pro+, identified by the model number 25104RADAC, was reportedly seen on the MIIT website in China, according to tipster WhyLab on Weibo. As per the listing, the device will have support for Beidou’s short message satellite communication system. 

While it may come as a surprise to some that Redmi’s premium K series smartphones don’t yet have satellite connectivity, while the mid-ranger Note 15 Pro+ is up for it, it should be noted that the Note series is undoubtedly Redmi’s top seller. It’s only fair that the popular range should get this feature first.

Although satellite connectivity could come in the Chinese version of the Note 15 Pro+, whether the option will be available in the international version upon its release is still uncertain.

There have been other recent leaks as well regarding the Note 15 Pro+, offering a glimpse into its possible specs and features. A Weibo post by tipster Digital Chat Station suggests that the Note 15 Pro+ will include a range of premium specifications. 

The Note 15 Pro+ could feature a 1.5K quad-curved display and may pack a Snapdragon 7s series processor under its hood. In terms of optics, it could get a dual rear camera setup, comprising a 50MP main camera and a 50MP telephoto lens. The device is also expected to house a 7,000mAh battery.
