The Realme 16 5G had launched in India, joining its earlier siblings Realme 16 Pro and Realme 16 Pro+ as part of the Realme 16 family. One of the main highlights of the Realme 16 5G is the “Selfie Mirror” feature, which allows users to take high-resolution self-portraits using the main camera, instead of the front camera. The device sports an “Air” design, with wavy patterns on the rear panel, and comes equipped with a 7,000mAh battery for long-lasting performance.

Realme 16 5G's price in India starts at Rs 31,999 for the variant with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. The 8GB + 256GB model costs Rs 33,999, while the highest configuration with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage has a price tag of Rs 36,999.
Realme 16 5G Specs And Features
The Realme 16 5G features a Selfie Mirror, a small circular reflective panel built into the rear camera module. It acts as a viewfinder, enabling users to see their own reflection while framing self-portraits. By using the Selfie Mirror, users can capture selfies and group photos with the phone's primary rear camera sensor, rather than relying on the front-facing camera alone, which often offers lower-resolution pictures.
The rear camera array of the Realme 16 5G comprises a 50MP main sensor from Sony, paired with a 2MP monochrome sensor. The phone has a 50MP front camera as well. AI optimisations and LumaColor imaging technology further helps to sharpen pictures, offering greater detail. Other AI features for imaging include AI Portrait Star and AI Pop-Out.
The Realme 16 5G is equipped with a large 7,000mAh battery that supports 60W wired fast charging. Despite the battery capacity, it has a relatively slim and lightweight make, measuring 8.1mm in thickness and weighing 183 gm.
According to Realme, the smartphone can deliver up to 21.67 hours of usage on WhatsApp, 22.86 hours of Instagram Reels scrolling, and around 22 hours of YouTube playback on a single charge. For music, it is claimed to support nearly six days of non-stop playback.
The Realme 16 5G sports a 6.57-inch full HD+ Amoled display offering 120Hz peak refresh rate, 4,200 nits max brightness, and 3,000Hz touch sampling rate. The device is rated IP69 for protection against dust and water.
Powering the Realme 16 5G is the MediaTek Dimensity 6400 Turbo processor, which comes with up to 12GB LPDDR4x RAM and 256GB UFS 2.2 storage. A 6,050 mm square vapour chamber helps keep the device cool during extended usage.
The smartphone runs Android 16-based Realme UI 7.0 skin. Realme has promised three years of Android OS upgrades along with four years of security patches.
Sensors in the Realme 16 5G include for proximity, ambient light, colour temperature, E-compass, accelerometer, gyroscope, along with in-display optical fingerprint sensor and infrared remote control.
The Realme 16 5G comes in two colours: Air White and Air Black.
