At Mobile World Congress (MWC), Nothing showcased the four colours in which the upcoming Phone 4a handset will be available. The device will be available in black, white, pink and blue colour options. Nothing has maintained its distinctive design approach for the upcoming smartphone with a semi-transparent back that reveals key components beneath.

The company had previously teased the pink and white versions of the phone.

The fresh finishes were introduced during a brief showcase that saw Nothing attracting visitors at MWC around a graffiti-splashed shipping container, where the devices were placed on display behind glass, reported 9to5Google.

The pink shade arrives shortly after the similarly hued Sony WH-1000XM6 headphones, underlining what appears to be a broader shift towards pastel tech, The Shortcut reported.

According to Lucy Birley, Colour Material Finish Design Lead at Nothing, the Phone 4a's pink tone is better understood as a softened red, a subtle distinction for those hesitant about embracing a pink device.

Far from being a novelty, the striking blue variant conveys a premium sensibility rarely seen in the mid-range bracket. Comparable design flourishes are notably absent among handsets priced under $500, as per The Shortcut.

Nothing has also applied colour beneath the transparent rear layer on all versions of the Phone 4a, creating a sense of dimensionality as light interacts with the material beneath.

The white finish may be the most conventional of the line-up, yet it arguably offers the clearest view of the Phone 4a's distinctive rear detailing, which is more subdued on the darker model.

Nothing has overhauled its Glyph Bar, now comprising six white LED segments and a single red indicator for video recording. When inactive, the lighting array merges discreetly into the casing, preserving a minimalist look.

The red recording marker remains visible even when switched off, a subtle nod to the brand's trademark design cues.

According to The Shortcut, the black edition proved the most understated of the line-up and, arguably, the least striking. Compared with the brighter alternatives, it conceals some of the design's intentionally speckled elements. Even so, the colour carries legacy status, having featured since Nothing's debut smartphone.

Nothing is set to launch the Phone 4a on March 5 at its “Built Different” event in London. The Nothing Phone 4a Pro will also reportedly be launched at the event.

Gadgets360 reported that Nothing has confirmed that the Phone 4a series will run on Qualcomm Snapdragon chipsets. The base variant is tipped to carry the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 SoC, complemented by a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a 1.5K panel. A 5,400mAh battery with 50W wired charging capability is also expected.

Nothing Phone 4a India Launch

According to Gadgets360, Nothing Phone 4a is expected to be launched in India later this week. The London-based company is gearing up to organise an exclusive drop event in Bengaluru ahead of the launch of the Nothing Phone 4a in India.

The smartphone maker is scheduled to host the exclusive drop event on March 7 at 6 p.m. IST, as per an official release.
