Have you taken GTA 6 launch date as being some time during Fall of 2025? You are not alone. First of all, you may have no choice as no other official information is available and the rest are wild guesses at best and downright fake claims at worst. And secondly, every publisher is likely taking Rockstar parent Take-Two Interactive's statements at face value too.
Notably, in its earnings call, Take-Two said GTA 6 launch date is sometime during "Fall 2025". This may not be just to keep the much-mistreated and taken-for-granted GTA 6 fan community happy. It is a dire warning for the gaming industry to keep away from that wide Fall window. The Fall literally translates to between Sep. 1 to November 30.
And certainly, developers are not foolhardy. After all, they will not go for a face-off against GTA 6 because they know they will be 100% certain to lose considering the interest of gamers in the upcoming Rockstar game. It would be a no contest or TKO within seconds of the start of the bout.
Even the legendary Death Stranding 2: On the Beach launch date has been revealed to be June 26 and not later during the Fall.
And timing is certainly what Rockstar too is looking at. It has announced recently that Borderlands 4 will launch on Sep. 23 and that itself may be message for many that GTA 6 is coming thereafter, but it will likely not be for at least 20-25 days within Borderlands launch. Even Rockstar will not want its own title to compete with GTA 6 and therefore, a huge gap is likely.
What does it all mean for GTA 6 release. Well, customers should have their collected the budgeted amount for an end-Oct.-or Nov. GTA 6 launch.
