The USA cricket team defeated former champions Pakistan via a Super Over on Thursday in a T20 World Cup match. This win marked the USA team's largest triumph in the tournament, moving them to the top of Group A with two consecutive wins.

Opting to field first, the USA team restricted Pakistan to 159 for seven. Left-arm spinner Nosthush Kenjige took three wickets for 30 runs. Despite Pakistan's efforts, they struggled to accelerate their innings.

In response, the USA team matched Pakistan's total, reaching 159 for 3 during their chase. Skipper Monank Patel, Aaron Jones, and Andries Gous led the charge with notable contributions. The match then progressed to a Super Over to determine the winner.

In the Super Over, the USA team scored 18 runs and successfully defended their total by conceding only 13 runs. However, Pakistan faced criticism for a delayed start to the Super Over, prolonging the suspense of the match.

The USA team's decision to bowl first proved effective, as they dismissed key Pakistani batsmen early in the innings. Despite sporadic resistance from Pakistan's side, including efforts from Shadab Khan and Azam Khan, they ultimately fell short of their target.
