Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) will be looking for their first win of the season when they take on Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in match 10 of the 2026 season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) on Sunday.
LSG endured a tough start to their campaign, going down to the Delhi Capitals by six wickets. SRH also opened their season on a disappointing note, suffering a six-wicket defeat to Royal Challengers Bengaluru. However, they quickly regained momentum, delivering a commanding performance to beat Kolkata Knight Riders by 65 runs in their next outing.
Against DC, Lucknow shuffled their batting order as captain Rishabh Pant opened the innings alongside Mitchell Marsh. Nicholas Pooran was pushed lower down the order as he batted at no. 5. The rejigging did not help as the team got bowled out on a meager score of 141. Among the top-five batters only Marsh managed to score in double digits. The team's bowling though looks good as it made Delhi sweat hard to get to a target of 142.

In recent seasons, the Sunrisers have built a reputation as a batting-heavy unit, and that trend has continued this year. They have already showcased their firepower, posting totals in excess of 200 in both of their matches so far. Against RCB, SRH scored 201/9 and when the target of 202 was not enough for their bowlers to defend, the Orange Army amassed 226/8 against KKR.
Ishan Kishan will continue to lead the side in Pat Cummins absence. Cummins has headed back to Australia to get his back scanned and assessed.
