T20 World Cup 2026: The 10th edition of the tournament will be co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka, featuring matches across eight venues from 7 February to 8 March.
The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced that the ticket sales for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 will start at 6:45 p.m. IST on Dec. 11. The tickets will be available on BookMyShow.
The ticket prices in India start at Rs 100 at some venues and LKR 1000 (Rs 294) in Sri Lanka. Over 2 million tickets will go on sale.
According to the ICC, the entry-level tickets have been priced at historic lows to make the tournament more accessible to fans.
The tenth edition of the tournament will take place in India and Sri Lanka, featuring matches at eight stadiums between Feb. 7 and March 8, 2026.
The opening match sees Pakistan go head-to-head with the Netherlands in Colombo, followed by West Indies taking on Bangladesh in Kolkata, culminating in a showdown between India and the USA in Mumbai.
“Phase I of ticket sales is an important milestone in our journey towards delivering the most accessible and global ICC event ever staged. Our vision for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 is clear: every fan, regardless of background, geography or financial means, should have the chance to access an in-stadia experience of world-class marquee cricket,” ICC CEO Sanjog Gupta said.
Featuring 20 teams, the tournament promises an intense schedule of 55 matches, beginning with eagerly awaited group-stage clashes.
The stadiums for the competition are: Narendra Modi Stadium (Ahmedabad), MA Chidambaram Stadium (Chennai), Arun Jaitley Stadium (New Delhi), Wankhede Stadium (Mumbai), Eden Gardens (Kolkata), R. Premadasa Stadium (Colombo), Singhalese Sports Club Cricket Ground (Colombo) and Pallekele International Cricket Stadium (Kandy).
The final will take place on March 8 in Ahmedabad, but will be held in Colombo if Pakistan secure a spot. Similarly, the semi-finals, scheduled for March 4 in Kolkata and March 5 in Mumbai, will see the Kolkata game switch to Colombo should Pakistan qualify.
The competition format remains unchanged from 2024, with 20 teams arranged into five groups of four. The highest two-ranked teams in each group proceed to the Super Eight, where they are split into two groups of four.
