Introduction of fluorine in active ingredients has become an important concept in the quest for a modern crop protection product with optimal efficacy, environmental safety and economic viability.
A number of recently developed agrochemicals represent novel classes of chemical compounds, which contain fluorine.
Currently, there are 424 fluorine containing molecules present in the market and the share of fluorine containing new launches has risen considerably.
Over CY16-CY20, the average salience of fluorine containing agrochemicals was ~67% versus ~54% during CY11-CY15 and ~51% during CY06CY10.
